U3A Promotes ‘Life, Learning, Laughter’
U3A Sunshine Coast brings together people who may be retired from full-time work but not from living their life to the fullest. Indeed, U3A members seek out new friends, new lifestyle activities and learn new things – and all this in an environment of fun and friendship.
U3A Sunshine Coast is a self-help non-profit organisation with more than 2000 members who attend a wide range of U3A classes and activities at locations in the local region, and we are a foundation member of U3A Network Queensland.
U3A also has a close relationship with the University of the Sunshine Coast and members may be permitted to sit-in on lectures at the University, and may also use all facilities of the USC Gym or Pool at student rates.
Join U3A and Attend Classes
U3A courses and classes are designed specifically to meet the needs of people in their Third Age, which is the life period of active retirement that follows the first age of childhood and formal education and the second age of working life. It precedes the fourth age of dependence.
