Nominating for the Management Committee, AGM 2026
Dear Members,
As we look ahead to our upcoming Annual General Meeting on the 6th June, we are reaching out to encourage
Members to consider getting more involved in the running of our U3A by joining the Management Committee.
Serving on the committee is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the vibrant life of our U3A,
Influence decisions, and help shape the future of our activities and programs. Whether you have prior experience or simply want to make a difference, your ideas and energy will be a valuable contribution to our organisation
You will:
- Enjoy personal fulfillment from contributing to an organisation you care about.
- Learn new skills and gain experience in team leadership, event planning and management.
- Be part of a supportive community of like-minded individuals.
It’s a great way to contribute to our U3A community.
We encourage members of all backgrounds and expertise to consider joining the management committee. Together, we can continue to build a dynamic and engaging U3A for everyone.
Remember that at each AGM all positions are declared vacant and we would love to hear from anyone nominating for the committee. Included with the nomination form is a document which briefly outlines the Management Committee’s roles and responsibilities. The forms are on the website here.
Let’s talk. Interested, but not sure? No problem! You can shadow or understudy any committee position you may be interested in or become a friend of the committee to see what’s involved before committing. If you’re even a little bit curious, we’d love to hear from you.
