U3A Sunshine Coast Inc. is a self-help non-profit organization within the Sunshine Coast and hinterland in Queensland, Australia.
Over 2000 members attend a wide range of U3A classes and activities held at locations throughout the local region. Learn more about us.

U3A has a close relationship with the University of the Sunshine Coast and members can be permitted to “sit-in” on lectures at the University, with negotiation. Our members may also use all facilities of the USC Gym or Pool at student rates. Learn more.
The Best of Adam Sharp by Graeme Simsion
If, like me, you thoroughly enjoyed Graeme’s Rosie books, The Best of Adam Sharp could come as a big disappointment.
A highlight of Term 3 was the course run by Tim Metelerkamp. Tim and his wife are keen birdwatchers, originally from South Africa. Their presentations were enhanced by their observations in Africa as well as Australia.
If you are lucky, Tim will offer this course again in 2017. Keep an eye out for it.
Everyone who came to live on the Sunshine Coast was happy. Only their little grey cells grumbled that they had nothing to work out on.
Frayda Cooper had the answer. She had encountered U3A in Melbourne, and felt it would fill a need here. That was 1985.
