Armchair Travel meets every Thursday morning at 9.00 am at the Seventh Day Adventist Hall in Coes Creek Road, Nambour. It is a friendly group of keen travellers and keen listeners who share their travel experiences from both within Australia and overseas. Presentations give food for thought for future travel, or allow participants to reminisce about, and share experiences of, places previously visited. Travel tips are gained, entertainment and laughter are enjoyed, and friendships are formed.
People have commented that they are impressed by the quality of the presentations. They see that lots of fantastic research has often been done, so they not only gain the travel experience, but the knowledge of the history and geography of the area/country.
Between terms, the group likes to meet up for lunch somewhere around the coast while they wait for the next term sessions to begin.
