Ian Cran is presenting 3 courses in term 1, 2017.

Ian is an interesting person with a broad range of experiences and interests, and hence a lot of interesting stories to tell. Prior to retirement he was a maths and science high school teacher and before that served for eight years in the Royal Navy as an aircraft mechanic.
He has done a lot of long distance cycle tours including around Australia, across North America and Canada, the length of Britain, New Zealand, France, and around Tasmania.
Ian has kayaked all the Australian rivers source to mouth, except the Margaret, and those in North Island New Zealand.
He has currently have ‘bagged’ 171 of the 286 Scottish ‘Munros’ (mountains over 3,000 ft) and hopes to complete them in the next five years.
In his spare time he makes violins.
