Dr Ken Lynn
Chopin was a unique pianistic composer and performer. As well, during his relatively short life, he was intimate with a galaxy of 19th century artistic talent – Hummel, Moscheles, Czerny, Mendelssohn, Liszt and Schumann for the piano, Berlioz and Bellini for orchestra and opera, Delacroix for painting and Balzac, Hugo and the notorious George Sand for literature, just to name a few. His impeccable manners, dress, style and obvious genius gave him entree to the cream of society. This lecture attempts to define him as a person.
