Lecture – The Women Scientists Who Made a Difference by Dr Ken Lynn

Dr Ken Lynn

Women scientists are not in evidence until well into the 19th century. Since then they have made significant contributions in every field of science and mathematics as they gradually overcame male prejudices limiting their ability to receive higher education and salaried positions. This talk starts with Hypatia in the 4th century AD but expands greatly as we move through the 20th century when female Nobel Prize winners start to appear. This talk is as much about social progress as it is about science.
